The Hive Active Heating & Hot Water Thermostat V3 (SKU 851816) is a smart thermostat designed to control central heating and domestic hot water from one device. It offers app-based control, scheduling, and automation to help manage comfort and energy use throughout the day.

This thermostat works with the Hive app for iOS and Android, allowing you to adjust temperature, set schedules, and activate heating or hot water boost from your phone. Voice control is supported via Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. For remote control and smart features, a Hive Hub and a compatible receiver are required; some bundles include these components, while thermostat-only listings do not. Professional installation is recommended.

The system is intended for most UK 230 V gas and oil boilers and typical conventional systems with a hot water cylinder (dual-channel), and it can also be used with many combi boilers (hot water channel not used on combi). Not suitable for electric high‑voltage heating without an appropriate relay/compatibility module. Features include schedules, geolocation reminders, holiday mode, frost protection, and a manual boost for heating and hot water.
